Dreaming our world into being…
The Full Moon in Pisces on Tuesday, September 17th at 10:34pm EST invites the opening of the lunar eclipse portal —the first of its kind in Pisces since 2015-2017. Eclipses are times where evolution seems to speed up, and drastic change occurs. The invitation, this Full Moon, is to sit with your dreams and honor all that comes through. Submerge yourself in water and embrace all of the emotions. Begin to sift and discern what energy is yours versus energy coming from others, and try to separate the illusions from the reality.
Mars in Cancer is squaring the lunar nodes, activating energy that may have become too settled over the past few years. This may feel like agitation, anxiety, or emotional upset. On a collective scale we could be looking at a turning point with violence and war. On a more personal level, you are being asked to embrace the parts of yourself that needed a bit more love as a child, especially as Venus opposes Chiron. This signature might have you feeling a bit like a child who is not getting their way. These feelings are necessary for growth and moving through them is part of the process.
As the lunar eclipse has shifted from the self-defensive energies of the Aries North Node to the merging energies of the Pisces North Node, this offers a distinct taste of connection and spiritual oneness. It is a time of imagining, of empathy, of reading the signs, and of seeing something beyond the surface of reality that connects you to what is greater. The Moon sits between Neptune and Saturn in Pisces, and is more closely conjunct with watery Neptune, so you may be feeling the otherworldy grandness of this Moon, along with a helpful dose of Saturn’s practical groundedness.
Where is Pisces in your chart? Whatever house it occupies may be giving you clues as to where in your life this energy is arising?
Dig into whatever meditative space allows you to draw from your emotional depths and intuition. This can look like making art, music, or poetry, engaging in romance, flowing with Spirit, listening to your dreams, sleeping, or even swimming in the ocean.
Pisces is a mutable sign, representing transforming and transition. Release what is longer serving you, and accept that you are changing. This may also feel like embracing all that scares you in the deep beyond. Allow yourself to move through any pain that arises, knowing a new path forward has already seeded itself.
Trust.
This is a time of stepping into a new understanding of ourselves on a more spiritual level. You might find that you connect with others more deeply. Pisces is soft and emotional: a very different feeling from the Aries bold, I AM lessons we have been working with over the last two years. It’s a time to become aware of opportunities of connection with others, with nature, and with your own body. This lunation is just a preview of whats to come over the next two years. With the South Node still in Libra, the nodal switch to Pisces-Virgo axis doesn’t officially start until January 28th of next year.
We are supported through this transition-time with Venus trining Jupiter, a beautiful harmony of the benefic planets, granting us moments of pleasure and abundance amidst the gritty push towards our discomforts. Be able and willing to hold both the beauty and the hardship. Grotesque violence exists in the world, and so does love and peace. Acknowledging the conflicting realities of being human is part of the journey. How can you work with the feelings that come up and alchemize them towards change?
